Finn Askew's debut single “Roses” was created and recorded when he was 16. He got the beat from YouTube and used GarageBand and his £20 microphone to create it. "Roses" featured in a live stream on V Live from Taeyong (member of K-Pop band NCT). As a result the track was included in the Spotify viral charts in a number of South East Asian countries and has over 12 million streams on Spotify alone.

Finn released his debut EP Peach which combines lo-fi hip-hop, piano jazz and indie rock in January 2021.

Finn Askew was listed as one of Vevo Dscvr’s Artists To Watch for 2021.

If I was in the form of a song that song would be paranoia. It represents me as an artist the best. When you see the word paranoia you’d probably imagine the song to be pretty dark, that’s what I love about this song cause it’s far from that.”

Determined to give fans a new peak into his world, ep-studios spent 6 weeks developing the perfect visual to release alongside the song. The video adds a dreamlike and futuristically stylised feel to the upbeat track, and really shows Finn in his element.

Adidas showcases Finns darker side to his music and wanted to replicate this feeling in the music video. We teamed up with Director Elliott Gonzo to take his fans on a lucid journey that led to the lyrical content of the track.

Finn is keen to explore more abstract and metaphoric ways to visualise his sound. A lot of the lyrical content is a play on words and takes a deeper look into his personal experiences and interests so ep-studios were keen to create a video with a twist.
